Toronto based ‘électro-psyche’ duo Les Fontaines return with their sixth release “Garage Méchanique”. Their five song e.p. is a mix of psyche garage electro punk! Raw! Mono! Unhinged garage recordings made in sub-freezing temperatures!

In the middle of a pandemic lockdown, during the frozen silent month of February, Les Fontaines dutifully got together to record some music in the garage.

Their parameters were simple: Two battery operated electronic instruments each (maxxed through tiny guitar amps) and all recordings completely improvised and live off the floor. Primitive.

Heaters on! Instruments on! Unwrap and pop a blank chrome cassette into the dodgy Eastern European branded 3 Band Radio Cassette Recorder and press record!

What comes next? Electro punk! Groovy organs! Wild synths! Dick Dale! Velvet Underground! Man or Astro Man? The Exploited! Swans! Transylvania 500! Cabaret Voltaire! The Jesus and Mary Chain! Suicide! Nash The Slash! + Skinny Puppy were all subconsciously channelled.

Hollering! Yelping! Unhinged! Raw! Mono!
